Create transparent components for your jewelry to make invisible pieces you can’t take your eyes off. This workshop focuses on sculpting and shaping acrylic, as well as mark making, surface textures, and polishing. Acrylic has 10 times the durability with only 50% the weight of glass, and its warm feel makes it the perfect medium for the body. Join me in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida, to explore this unique material and its amazing optical properties. Experiment with acrylic through hand-shaping to create a unique transparent pendant. Students will learn reductive carving techniques and mark making on solid acrylic blanks. Conquering the challenges of this complex material will strengthen your jewelry finishing skills and hone your eye for detail.
